Paul's grandma Fern gave us a huge upright freezer a few years ago. It was the greatest gift. It changed how we shopped, cooked and kept food storage. I have a bunch of stuff out there. Flour, dough, meat, frozen meals. You get the idea. Well someone (who shall remain nameless) went searching for popsicles and didn't get the door closed tightly. I just threw away a ton of stuff. The casualties include; corn dogs, bacon, a huge bag of chicken tenders that I bought yesterday, freezer jam, popsicles, and some frozen dough. It could have been much, much worse but I still feel sick at the waste. One step forward, two steps back.

Oh man...that is never something you want to wake up too :(
NOOOOOOOO. I hate that kind of stuff...and the biggest tradegy of all-your freezer jam. so sorry.
I hate that so bad! It's happened here as well. Which is why we always keep the freezer locked. The key hangs on a little sticky hook on the side of the freezer, but keeping it locked ensures the door is shut all the way.
