Yesterday we did the whole green dinner thing. I had a lot of fun getting everything all ready. I had been searching and collecting green candy and goodies for literally months. It all paid off, the kids were thrilled. (I love watching them come in from school with looks of anticipation on their faces)
Here are a bunch of pictures of us getting our green on.
This cute idea and printable I got off another blog
A bucket O'goodies
You HAVE to have balloons!
Little buckets of green and gold.
Family picture time
I stole a kiss since he might be Irish ; )
Then he turned and stole one back
Green, green and more green
I served creamy pesto pasta, green salad and green rolls.
As of right now this is one of my new recipes for March. I didn't like it at all. It's a white cake mix that you add mint extract to. You reserve some batter and color it green then swirl it in. Once it is baked and cooled you top it with TWO jars of hot fudge topping and then you put on a tub of Cool Whip that is green. Top with chopped Andes mints. It tasted like toothpaste. Yuck! I spent $6 on the mint extract (I had peppermint but I wanted to make sure I followed the directions so I went and got the mint.) and $5 on the hot fudge. What a waste. It was icky. So disappointing.

Wow, that's lots of green goodies. You always make the holidays so much fun for your family. Good times and great memories.
I really like Andrew's shaggy hair. It's quite cute.
Also, the mint extract is always disappointing. It ALWAYS tastes like toothpaste. Which is a shame. I'd love to be able to make something minty (not pepperminty, just minty).
awww.. how fun!! I did exactly nothing on St. Pats. Well, I did swear at the parade that made me take a detour to the post office.. that's it. lol
