Boston!

I really wanted to go to New Orleans for our anniversary trip this year. We started looking into it and it just wasn't working out. We found getting a flight to be more difficult than it should have been. There was only one direct flight and it was at a weird time, others had up to three stops (insane!!!) the prices were high and it was on a small plane. No me gusta! The hotel in the good areas were pretty pricey and we couldn't get any deals on car rentals. Oh and let's not forget about the prices of the cemetery walking tour and the bayou tours, outrageous, considering Paul wasn't even that interested in those things.

We were watching the premier of American Idol and Paul made a comment about how gorgeous Boston looked and how he would like to go, so we checked it out. Everything came together perfectly so we booked and now we get to spend a long weekend in New England. (I love how that sounds.)

We are going to hit at least five states and I will finally get to see the Atlantic Ocean. We are going to try to get tickets to a Sox game for Paul. He was very sweet and concerned that I would be disappointed that we weren't going to New Orleans. I still want to go some day but I am not disappointed at all. I am actually very very excited. Any time I get to go somewhere I am a happy girl.

Now we have to pray for 60 degree weather (the average for Boston in April) and not the snow. (that isn't so average but does happen)

You're coming to my neck of the woods! Boston is about 100 miles from where I live. My husband and I LOVE Boston. There is something there for everyone. We are history buffs so we especially love the Freedom Trail - a walking tour that takes in many historic sites; the Paul Revere house, Old Ironsides, First Church, etc. We also love to go to the Italian North End. So many yummy Italian restaurants. Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall are also favorites of ours. Durgin Park is a very old and very unique dining experience at Quincy Market. The subways will take you anywhere you want to go. I can't wait to see what you think of Boston.

Thanks for sending out your new blog address. I really enjoy reading your blog.

I'm so jealous! I've seen the Atlantic (duh...I live in Maryland) but I haven't been further north than N.Y.
