To say that Emma is obsessed with Harry Potter is an understatement. She has been reading and re-reading the books. She has been watching all the movies. She and her friends make wands and cast spells on each other. They have been counting down the days until the movie came out. She was so upset that we didn't get tickets to the midnight showing. While I was in St. George Paul took both kids to a Friday morning showing.
Saturday, right after I got home, we went to a Harry Potter party. We were asked to bring a treat to share. Since I didn't have time to do anything creative I bought a Harry Potter cake.
Look at all the clever treats they had.
The decorations were so fun. The hosts really went all out. The kids were greeted by Savannah who had a sorting hat so they could find out what house they would be in.
Andrew enjoying his Butter Beer.
Emma and Katie after leaving the potions station.
Here is a Honeydukes station where the kids could load up of all sorts of goodies.
They even had a place where you could make owls and wands.
They played quidditch and Emma was the Keeper.
Once it got dark enough, they played Harry Potter 7 part one outside on a huge screen. Emma stayed there until almost midnight watching it with her friends.
Thanks to Kristy for hosting this amazing party. The kids were so excited to be part of it. They had a wonderful time.

Thank you so much for posting these great photos.. Nathan's birthday is in September and he wants a Harry Potter birthday party. This post gave me some great ideas..
Wow, I knew you went to a party but had no idea that it was so well done. Holy moly that looks likes it was tons of fun and lots and lots of work for the person that did all the planning. Good to have great friends.
