Paul gets Creative in the Kitchen

Paul was playing on Pinterest and saw the Oreo stuffed in the chocolate chip cookie dough creations and immediately wanted to try it. I made him the chocolate chip cookie dough, he provided the Oreo's. I let him do all the work. I don't know if you need a special dough or what but they did NOT look like the pictures on Pinterest LOL!

Oh my goodness these don't look right! We laughed so hard.

He said they were still really yummy though, as long as they were hot.

Andrew couldn't wait to try one.

Ha!

Oops. The Oreo broke out.

I don't know if we will try these again but it was super fun once.

My Kids Have the Best Friends

I love when my kids have their friends over.

On February 24th we had seven kids in our home. Andrew had a friends over and then there were five screaming girls. It was a great night. Everyone got along well and I think everyone had a great time. Paul and I were displaced to the living room since they took over the house but it didn't bother us too much.

You know that cinnamon challenge that they (the media) are warning you not to do? One of the girls challenged everyone to do it. I pretty much knew it was a bad idea but I watched closely, we had water at the ready, I told them not to inhale or even really try to swallow (just hold it in your mouth okay? Thanks!) and thankfully they all survived. In my defense this was before we had heard all the warnings. It turned into the main event of the night. They thought it was hilarious. However there will not be a next time. I still feel naughty for even allowing it once...

With the warmer weather and longer nights we are going to have to have them all over again soon. They are just too much fun. Oh to be young and carefree again.

The Boys go to BYU

Saturday was an open scrimmage at BYU. Paul took Andrew down to see what it was like and they ended up having a fabulous time. They got to watch the team play/practice then they opened up the field (or I guess you could say they turned a blind eye to people entering the field) for people to meet the players. They got a lot of autographs and took a bunch of pictures. They felt pretty special having that kind of access to the team. All of the players were super nice to them, especially the freshman. I'm guessing the freshman are having as much fun signing autographs and being "stars" as Andrew and Paul had meeting them. Here are all the pictures I collected from Paul's phone and Andrew's Ipod. I'm so thankful to have a husband who takes the time to take his kids do these kinds of fun things. He's a great dad and I hope Andrew will always remember this special outing they had together. Next time I think we'll all go. I want a picture with Cosmo!
